Under the supervision of a Master’s level special educator, the ABA tutor position is responsible for implementing an intensive skill-based program that is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. This position is a great opportunity for staff who are currently pursuing or are planning to pursue teacher certification in special education or BCBA certification.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct instruction for children with autism in both sub-separate and inclusion classrooms.
- Work additional hours outside of the school day to complete case management responsibilities that may include:
- Data summary
- Generating lesson materials
- Modifying curriculum
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
- A role model for professionalism and teaching skills.
- Minimum of a high school degree required.
- Experience working with special needs population or relevant academic experience.
