TEAM NECC
#TeamNECC is our hashtag for runners who participate in running events, such as 5Ks and marathons, to support autism education and research at NECC. NECC applies to receive charity bibs from two top running events in the Boston area each year. We then offer the bibs to individuals who are dedicated to running and fundraising on behalf of NECC.

Boston Marathon
Since 2007, Team NECC has been fortunate to participate in the historic Boston Marathon. In the last 15 years, our runners have raised nearly $1 million through the Boston Athletic Association’s (B.A.A.) non-profit program, now under the sponsorship of Bank of America. Last year, our 127th Boston Marathon runners raised more than $52,000 for NECC!
Team NECC will once again have the opportunity to bring runners to the 128th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America on April 15, 2024 through the Bank of America Boston Marathon Charity Program.
Runners are required to raise a minimum of $10,000 and must pay the $375 B.A.A. entry fee.
Our goal is to provide a memorable and supportive experience for all Team NECC runners. NECC provides the following for all accepted runners:
- Charity bib fee
- Professional coaching through the Marathon Coalition
- Personal fundraising webpage (through GivenGain)
- Comprehensive fundraising support
- Team NECC singlet
- Runner gift/swag
Applications are now available and are due by October 10. We plan to announce our team by mid-October. For an application, please contact Kim Ruscitti at [email protected].
Falmouth Road Race
The Falmouth Road Race is an annual 7.0-mile road race on Cape Cod from Woods Hole, a village in the town of Falmouth, Massachusetts, to Falmouth Heights. NECC receives up to 15 bibs annually for runners. Those who join #TeamNECC commit to raising a minimum of $1,000 for the annual fund. Thank you to our 51st Falmouth Road Race Team NECC runners who raised a record near $38,000 this summer!
Applications for the 2024 Falmouth Road Race will be announced in spring 2024. If you are interested in being considered, please contact Kim Ruscitti at [email protected].
