TEAM NECC

#TeamNECC is our hashtag for runners who participate in running events, such as 5Ks and marathons, to support autism education and research at NECC.  NECC applies to receive charity bibs from two top running events in the Boston area each year.  We then offer the bibs to individuals who are dedicated to running and fundraising on behalf of NECC.

Boston Marathon

John Hancock, the principal sponsor of the Boston Marathon, donates entries each year to select non-profit organizations through their Marathon Non-Profit Program. NECC is fortunate to be a recipient and typically receives four bibs. If you’ve ever wanted to run the Boston Marathon and can commit to training and running 26.2 miles and raising $10,000, apply to be part of #TeamNECC! *You do not need to qualify for the Boston Marathon to be a charity runner.

Applications for the 2023 Boston Marathon are closed, but if you are interested in being considered in the future, please contact Kim Ruscitti at [email protected]

The 127th Boston Marathon will take place on April 17, 2023. Meet our 2023 Boston Marathon team:

Kerry Egan, NECC Staff

Courtney Howe, NECC Friend

Emily McKenna, NECC Sibling

Pete Mittelholzer, NECC Friend

Falmouth Road Race

The Falmouth Road Race is an annual 7.0-mile road race on Cape Cod from Woods Hole, a village in the town of Falmouth, Massachusetts, to Falmouth Heights. NECC receives up to 15 bibs annually for runners. Those who join #TeamNECC commit to raising a minimum of $1,000 for the annual fund. In 2022, the team raised $19,000!

Recruiting for the 2023 Falmouth Road Race will begin this spring. If you are interested in running the Falmouth Road Race as a member of #TeamNECC, contact Kim Ruscitti.
