Although Paul Ankrah, a rehabilitation counselor for The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Westborough 1 residence, is fairly new to NECC, he has had an immediate impact on his students and colleagues.
Jackie Mombourquette, a tutor in NECC’s Partner Program, has worked at NECC for almost two years. She was nominated by a colleague because she “is always the first person in and the last one out and is always coming up with creative and fun lessons for our students.”
Maggie May has worked as a level 2 teacher and core shift manager (CSM) at The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Oak Street residence for two and half years. She was nominated by colleagues “because of her dedication to the team, for always advocating for all the students’ welfare.”
Lisa Reebel has worked at The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Michael F. Downey Center for Child Development for eight years. She was nominated by colleagues because “she is a wonderful and dedicated toddler teacher” and a “great fitness instructor.”
Sean Hemminger, who works on NECC’s Salem End Road team, has worked at NECC for a year and a half. She was nominated by a colleague because she “keeps our days running smoothly and always has her students’ best interests at heart.”
Shay Falkins, a level 2 teacher on The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Oak Street team, has worked at NECC for three years. She was nominated by a colleague because she “goes above and beyond when it comes to keeping her students engaged and learning.”
Sarah LaPierre currently serves as a teacher at NECC’s Michael F. Downey Center for Child Development, but she initially joined NECC as a teacher in the residential programs in 2017. She was nominated by her colleagues because her love for children shines through in everything she does.
Samantha Young, MS, has worked in The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Partner Program for three years. She was nominated by her colleagues because “she is one of the hardest working individuals I have ever met.”
Allison Bergenholtz, PhD, BCBA, LABA, currently serves as NECC’s director of Professional Development, but she began her career at NECC as a teacher 16 years ago. She was nominated by her colleagues because she not only has been “an outstanding collaborator” and an “excellent advocate for teachers”
