Meet Visitacion “Vessie” Gajes, a valued member of the NECC community whose kindness, compassion, and dedication leave a lasting impression on everyone around her.

As her colleagues shared, “Vessie has a way of making people feel seen, supported, and valued. Her kindness, resilience, and dedication are an inspiration to those fortunate enough to work alongside her. She brings compassion and heart to everything she does, and her impact on our students and our community is truly meaningful.”

Originally from the Philippines, Vessie joined NECC in February 2024 as a Rehabilitation Counselor on Newcastle Road before transitioning to the Intensive Instruction Program (IIP)Cohort G, where she currently serves as a Rehabilitation Counselor/WST.

Vessie’s passion for supporting others extends beyond the classroom. Her dedication to providing the best possible experiences for students has inspired her to continue growing as an educator by pursuing a master’s degree at Simmons University. Outside of work, she loves hanging out with her friends and traveling with her partner.
