The Children of Promise Gala, November 18, 2016, highlighted the important work The New England Center for Children provides in transforming the lives of children with autism. As part of the program, NECC honored Walgreens as it’s 2016 Community Autism Champion. Currently, NECC has five students employed in local Walgreens stores. Walgreens is an active supporter of employing persons with disabilities. Using their Project REDI program – Retail Employees with Disabilities Initiative – they ensure success by providing advanced and onsite training. NECC is pleased to honor Walgreens with this important award.
