NECC Southborough is currently hosting three graduate student interns from the National University of Ireland, Galway for one year of intensive training and supervision in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to teach children with autism.  On September 13 & 14, 2018, Dr. Jennifer Holloway, ABA Graduate Program Director, and Dr. Helena Lydon, ABA Clinical Placement Coordinator, both of NUI Galway, traveled to the United States to visit NECC.

Dr. Holloway and Dr. Lydon gained a stronger understanding of NECC’s program via a tour, student observation, and meetings with NECC clinical supervisors, research supervisors and administrators.

NECC was introduced to NUI Galway through NECC’s relationship with Ulster University in Ireland. In March of this year, NECC recruiters traveled to Ireland to visit Ulster, Galway, and several other schools in the region with ABA programs.  Hosting graduate student interns helps to fulfill NECC’s mission by educating as many ABA and special education teachers as possible, and disseminating NECC’s teaching methods around the world.

NECC looks forward to a continued productive relationship with NUI Galway.
