The New England Center for Children (NECC) is proud of the work we do to help children with autism learn and grow. Never has that work been more important, or more challenging, than during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Between March 16 and June 30, 2020, NECC incurred significant costs related to COVID response measures, in order to protect all of the students we serve and the staff who support them. Due to that investment, we kept our residential program open throughout the pandemic, and we re-opened the school the very day the Commonwealth eased that restriction.

Since July 1, 2020, we continue to spend roughly $125,000 per month to keep both the residential and day programs operating under enhanced safety protocols. Our staff have adjusted beautifully, our families continue to be supportive partners, and our students are thriving.

Watch the video below to learn more about how NECC responded to the COVID-19 pandemic.
