NECC’s residential programs serve over 120 students ages 3 to 22 from across the United States and several foreign countries. All residential programs operate 365 days per year with residential students attending school most Saturdays as well.
While at school, students participate in the full scope of NECC’s curriculum of academic, social, communication and vocational skills as well as physical education. When in their residences, students are focused on independent living skills, leisure interests, recreation and community activities, as well as practicing those skills learned at school. Our teachers work with students both in school and at the residence, further emphasizing consistency and safety across both environments, which ultimately contributes to the success of each pupil. Programs taught in the residence are designed to complement the education received at school and incorporate services available in the local community.
