Eli Delany exemplifies going above and beyond. An NECC parent since 2004, Eli has used his passion for fishing and his love for his son to benefit the Center. In addition to spreading autism awareness throughout the competitive angling community, notably having angling stars Kevin VanDam and Mike Iaconelli prominently sport autism awareness decals on their boats, Eli also hosts an annual “Fishin’ with a Mission” fundraiser event for NECC.

At this event, NECC students fish, take boat rides, and play games, in the process making countless memories. Through generous donations from partners, as well as donations from those within the fishing community, the event has raised over $14,000 over the years.

“We are lucky to have friends like Eli,” says NECC Director of Institutional Advancement Beth McGonagle. “His support throughout the last 9 years, specifically with the ‘Fishin’ for a Mission!’ event, has been very impactful. We all appreciate him.”
