The safety and wellness of our students is of the utmost importance at NECC. Our comprehensive in-house Health Care Program meets the diverse medical and health needs of our residential students.

Our proactive, preventative health program is designed to maintain students’ physical well-being while addressing any health concerns as they occur. The NECC Director of Health Services is the primary clinical manager of residential student health care, supervising all NECC Health Services staff and collaborating with our team of consulting medical professionals in the areas of psychiatry, neurology, and pediatrics.

Over many years, NECC has developed the sensitivity and expertise required to effectively monitor the special health care needs of our students. In order to provide carefully coordinated and comprehensive health care monitoring, it is mandatory that all residential students are enrolled as participants in the NECC Health Services program.

While not part of our in-house health care program, students in our center-based day services programs can be seen by the school nurse for any emergency medical needs that may arise during the school day.
