The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism has awarded The New England Center for Children in Southborogh, Massachusetts a $20,000.00 grant to purchase playground equipment for the newly built preschool. A U.S. Department of Education National Award Winner, The New England Center for Children is a residential and day school serving individuals diagnosed with autism, behavior disorders, Pervasive Development Disorder and related disabilities. The New England Center for Children is a non-profit, publicly funded school serving 227 students who come to us from throughout the United States and several foreign countries. The support of The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism will help us to provide a safe, fun learning environment for our preschool students; and it will also be instrumental in helping us continue to teach young children the communication and social skills that are critical to success in life. This is the third grant that NECC has received from the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation.
