New England Center for Children Receives one of the Top Growth Companies of 2006 from Worcester Business Journal
The New England Center for Children (NECC) was awarded the number 8 Top Growth
Companies in the Non-Profit Division from the Worcester Business Journal. For the last 15 years,
Worcester Business Journal has identified and profiled companies in their region who are leading
the effort for growth. They look for firms who have increased employment, revenues and profitability
over the past 3 years.
Founded in 1975, NECC is a residential and day school serving individuals diagnosed
with autism, behavior disorders, Pervasive Development Disorder, and related disabilities. NECC is
continually at the forefront of conducting and publishing research to further the understanding,
treatment, and early intervention of autism and related disabilities. NECC has received national
and international recognition with the United States Department of Education's National Award for
Model Professional Development and the 2005 SABA Award for Enduring Programmatic Contributions to
Behavior Analysis.
