NECC encourages involvement and extends support to our students? families by offering comprehensive services.
- Intensive post-admission support
- Reliable communication in weekly teacher telephone contacts, periodic clinics, and home-school logs
- School observations and periodic meetings with clinical program specialists and directors to discuss student cases and obtain parent input
- Collaborative development of individualized education plans
- Regular family and child contact through a flexible home visit schedule (residential students)
- ABA parent training groups and in-home training opportunities
- Home safety checks
- Sibling support groups
- Mothers' and Fathers' support groups
- Outreach to out-of-state families
- Sponsorship of family events such as Annual Parents' Night and Family Swim Days
- Parent workshops and information meetings
- Coordination of activities with the NECC Parents' Organization
