NECC
conducts independent surveys to measure
parents’ satisfaction with its
programs, staff, and facilities. Our
most recent survey was conducted in
the summer and fall of 2002. The following
are highlights of the responses and
data collected:
- 96% of parents
are satisfied with NECC.
- The percentage
of parents who considered themselves
to be “completely satisfied”
rose nearly 10% from the results
of the previous survey.
- 95% of
parents would recommend NECC to
other parents with a child whose
special needs can be addressed at
a specialized day or residential
program.
Care
and attention provided by the staff,
quality of staff, appearance of the
school building, classrooms, cafeteria,
and gym, safety and supervision of
students, and programs that meet the
child’s individual needs rated
highest among the answers given for
those things with which parents are
most satisfied.
Parents listed
the following as elements they “particularly
liked:”
- Staff commitment,
education and professionalism
- Program
methodology and professionalism
- Students’
progress and personal attention
received
- Management
and organization
- Responsiveness
to parent concerns and regular communication
