| Lisa
entered NECC in August of
2001 and joined the Saddle
Hill Road residential team.
Lisa is an energetic 8-year-old
girl. She enjoys playing
on the playground, swinging,
playing games on the computer
and playing with her friends
and teachers.
She attends academic
classroom two hours every
day. She has made great
gains in the areas of
reading and spelling.
Lisa has also made great
progress in answering
social and wh-questions
and she is quickly becoming
a master at addition and
subtraction. Lisa is a
great help during morning
meetings, setting up the
calendar and helping her
teachers lead other students
in activities such as
singing and dancing. She
also attends a community
dance class once a week.
Lisa goes home to Connecticut
many weekends to visit
her Mom, Dad and her brother.
At home Lisa enjoys singing
karaoke with her Dad,
riding her scooter and
bike, eating out and one
of her favorite activities
– swimming at the
Ramada. As demonstrated
in her recent participation
in Special Olympics, Lisa
is an excellent swimmer.
On weekends during the
summer, she often takes
trips to Six Flags to
ride the roller coaster
and the tea cups with
her former teacher.
Keep up the good work
and remember Lisa loves
to be social, so be sure
to say “hi”
in the hallway!!
