Parent Organization
Parents from all NECC programs are welcome to be involved in the Parents' Organization. We encourage parents to participate in the monthly meetings when informational presentations from members of the NECC staff are combined with regular business conducted by the parents. Meetings provide a forum for parents to stay connected to NECC's program and to give feedback to administrators about policies and procedures.
Our very active Parents' Organization sponsors winter holiday and spring socials and an Annual Family Fest for all NECC parents. Parents' Organization participants contribute to the supportive environment at NECC by distributing welcome and holiday gift baskets for all staff accompanied by thank you notes, catering snacks for team meetings, and hosting an annual staff appreciation dinner run by parent volunteers. The Parents' Organization makes a tremendous contribution to the school through its sponsorship of the Annual Night of Music, a fundraising event that supports the NECC Annual Fund. The Organization also sponsors a booth at the NECC 5K Walk/Run for Autism and many parents participate in this popular event.
