Minutes from August 13, 2007

Present:
Andrew Budson, Bob Ruzzo, Joe Kelley, Ann Kelley, Ellen Doherty, Alain Grenier, Marcia Grenier, Andrew Selinger, Tammy Selinger, Annette Lazili, Rich Martin, Jeannette Gould

Meeting Agenda:
Meeting convened at 7:05pm.

The minutes of the June 11th meeting were approved.

Treasurer's Report (Annette Lazili):
Buffet Way Catering delivered twice this month but have not billed the Parents' Organization yet. We are still waiting for our new budget to be put in place by Mike Downey

Sub-committee reports:

Activities Committee (Marcia Grenier):
The date for the Annual Family Day is September 9th from 1pm to 3pm at NECC. Marcia Grenier has agreed to run it again this year with the help of Carol Rosenfield. They are planning for the standard set up of ice cream, Moonwalk, arts and crafts, etc. Marcia is looking for 3 or 4 volunteers to help out.

Staff Appreciation Committee (Ann Edwards):
Welcome Bags from Trader Joe's will be distributed to all teams on September 26th.

Fundraising Committee (Angela Masiello):
The Night of Music will be held at the Seaport Hotel in Boston on October 26th.

Membership Committee:
Ann Kelley will help organize Parents' Organization Greeters for Annual Parents' Night on November 7th. The initial idea is to have members act as greeters in each of the different areas of the school. They will be able to "break the ice" for new parents as well as give information about the Parents' Organization.

Legislative Committee (Marcia Grenier):
There was no report. Bob Ruzzo requested that a MAAPS speaker be contacted as a potential speaker for a future P.O. meeting

Next meeting:
Next meeting will be September 10th at 7pm. Election of Officers is planned.
