Approval of Minutes from April 10 th, 2006

Treasurer’s Report: After payment for Buffet Way, Caterer, Flowers, Supplies, and Gratuity we have a credit balance of $ 1,320.32

Committee Update:

> Activities: Rollerskating was attended by 10 families (about 38 people) and enjoyed by all.

Next event in planning phase.

> Fundraising: Alicia (akinney@necc.org) spoke about golf June 5th.
The Night of Music is 11/4/06. Tickets are $125. Auction and sponsorship committee members needed.

Grandparents and other special friends are invited to NECC 6/20/06.
Capital Campaign at 64% on its way to 5 million dollars
Kresge Foundation is offering a Challenge Grant

Board of Advisors Meeting is next week (Ambassadors to the Community)

> Legislative: Autism supporters sponsored Autism Awareness Day speakers and appointments with legislators. Jill DeBender was part of these meetings and reported meeting with Sen. Augustus and Rep. Polito. Sen. Augustus is noted to be on the advisory board at NECC and identifies himself as a supporter of NECC and education/treatment for children with autism. He recently signed a dill for $5 million for autism waiver. Polito also reports being a supporter.

> Membership: Nothing new to report.

> Staff Appreciation: minutes to reflect viewing a media show of the staff appreciation lunch. Everyone had a GREAT time. There were beautiful flowers in the room, donated gift cards, lots of new great ideas. In the future, it was noted that we need more take out containers. We did come in under budget (approx. $4400). Over 40 parents showed up – largest # ever! Eileen, director of food services was awesome – write note of thanks.
