On Tuesday July 23rd 2013, over 60 golfers gathered at the scenic Boston Golf Club in Hingham MA to participate in the 2nd Annual Founder's Tournament for Autism. Passing thunderstorms and a host of big name attendees cemented this year's tournament as one for the memory books.
LPGA Hall of Famers Betsy King, Pat Bradley and Donna Caponi were all in attendance at the event, coaching golfers on their swing and taking guest shots for each foursome. Back 9 Network CEO and Founder James Bosworth attended the outing and served as MC for the evening's live auction. Bobby Farrelly of the screenwriting duo "The Farrelly Brothers" (known for box office hits such as There's Something About Mary and Dumb and Dumber) was also seen hitting the links along with local comedian Jackie Flynn.
Despite a few rain delays, the tournament raised over $140,000 for NECC. We'd like to give a huge thank you to John and Diane Kim and the Kim Family Foundation for making this day possible!
