Many positions in these categories are filled from within NECC. But, we do have a need for talent that doesn't reside within our ranks. Director of Health Services

Requirements

  •   Certified Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric or Family)
  •   Experience in pediatric primary care
  •   Experience with a special needs population and psychiatric nursing preferred
  •   Previous management/supervisory role
  •   Familiar with Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  •   Strong leadership and communication skills

Additional Responsibilities include

Under the clinical supervision of the school's primary care physician, and the administrative supervision of the Chief Operation Officer and Executive Director, the Director of Health Services is responsible for health care systems development, assessment and implementation for the students of The New England Center for Children.

  • Provision of primary care to residential students in daily clinic
  • Collaboration with primary care physician and other specialists, as well as the NECC behavioral team
  • Coordination of community based specialty medical services, ensuring continuity of care
  • Recruitment and supervision of nurses, nurse practitioners, and other health care support staff
  • Development and participation in health related trainings
  • Participation in beeper coverage rotation

Accounts Receivable Assistant

Requirements

  • Ability to use independent judgment on many items
  • Ability to maintain contact with employees, vendors, banks and others in a confidential manner
  • Ability to deal with confidential and sometimes controversial information, requiring judgment as to reply or referral
  • Degree in accounting or two years related experience
  • Typing ability

Additional Responsibilities include

  • Monthly Tuitions Computer Billing for each student to the various agencies
  • Additional attendance and invoices prepared to be attached
  • call and collect all A/R over 45 days old and maintain ager
  • Bank deposits for misc. cash, A/R cash disbursement journal at month end
  • Post all A/R cash to proper accounts; reconcile at month's end
  • Enter the cancelled checks in Solomon from the monthly bank statement
  • Check all deposits and fees
  • Run reports
  • Reconcile the GL
  • Assist in annual audit
  • Preform other duties as assigned by Business Manager

Registered Nurse

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in MA
  • BSN
  • Basic CPR certification
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in pediatric nursing
  • Preferred: experience in school health, special needs population, psychiatric nursing

Additional Responsibilities include

  • Provides primary health care/case management
  • Works independently utilizing advanced health assessment skills
  • Participates in daily rounds of assigned students
  • Provides medication systems for assigned teams
  • Participates in specialty medical clinics
  • Communicates with students families on an ongoing basis
  • Effective team player in multidisciplinary setting
  • Combination of day and evening hours required
  • Rotating after hours beeper coverage

Nurse Practitioner - Part Time

Requirements

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner who is Masters or Doctorate level prepared
  • Experience in pediatric primary care with a special needs population is preferred 
  • Previous experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Availability to commit to part-time schedule of 24-32 hours 

Additional Responsibilities include

  • Provides primary comprehensive health care to students
  • Provide clinical support to team of nurses
  • collaborate with physician consultants
  • Coordinate community based specialty medical services, ensuring continuity of care
