Director of Annual Giving

Responsibilities include

With the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Development Officer, Director of Development, and members of the Board of Directors and volunteers, the Director of Annual Giving directs and manages all aspects of the Annual Giving Program as it relates to individuals and foundations.  S/He is responsible for meeting ambitious Annual Fund goals. 
  •   Oversees annual giving program including leadership solicitations, grants, and appeals;
  • Works with the Director of Development to develop Annual Giving strategy and a set of annual benchmarks and goals;
  • Manages day-to-day operation of the Annual Giving including: planning and implementing mailings, writing solicitation materials, generating gift reports, and managing tracking;
  • Works with the Director of Development to develop a new Leadership Annual Fund Program for gifts of $1,000+;
  •   Manages personal solicitation of top leadership-level annual fund donors and accompanies volunteers on prospect visits;
  •  Makes solicitations as appropriate

     

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years fund-raising experience in fundraising, grants, appeals, with an emphasis on major gift solicitation Demonstrated ability to solicit and close four- and five-figure gifts, handle multiple tasks and projects, and meet established goals

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Self-starter 

  •  Strong results orientation

  •  College degree required

Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities include

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and care of the buildings, building equipment and grounds, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment and services.  Generally, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Director of Facilities toward furthering the maintenance department's goals of providing a safe, clean, functioning and pleasant environment.

 

·         Maintenance and care of buildings, building equipment and grounds

o   Directly performs custodial duties assuring the cleanliness of buildings and grounds, according to schedule or as directed under special conditions.

o   Performs direct maintenance and repair work of all buildings, building equipment and grounds as scheduled or as directed under special conditions.

o   Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

o   Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

o   Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

o   Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

o   Detect faulty operations, defective material and report to appropriate personnel.

o   Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

 

·         Physical

o   Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.

·         General

o   Assists with the security of buildings, equipment, and inventory

o   Assists with the forecasting and identification of maintenance problems

o   Drives between the central facility, residential homes and to other related facilities (including satellite parking) as needed.

o   Operates household appliances and school equipment

o   Implementation of all safety and emergency procedures.

o   Must share responsibilities of beeper with other maintenance employees, for  emergency service calls, at night and weekends

o   Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Facilities

 

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a craft apprenticeship or an equivalent number of years of education and maintenance experience
  • Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance a plus
  • Valid driver's license

Night Custodian

Responsibilities include

Under the direct supervision of the Night Custodian Supervisor, the Night Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the buildings, building equipment and grounds.

·         Cleaning

o   Cleans buildings and grounds according to standard schedules and/or as directed under specific conditions.

o   Processes laundry as needed

o   Orders and receives cleaning supplies as directed by the Director/Assistant Director of Facilities, and maintains inventory of such supplies.

 

·         Maintenance

o   Constantly watches for damage, safety hazards and malfunctioning of equipment.  Reports any safety concerns to the Director/Assistant Director of Facilities

o   Assists the Director/Assistant Director of Facilities with repair maintenance projects as requested, subject to availability of time and within span of ability.

 

·         Miscellaneous

o   Assist with kitchen duties as assigned by Director of Facilities.

o   Picks up and delivers supplies, furniture, etc

o   Handles arrangements for fueling, repair and maintenance of school vehicles

o   Assists with security system as required

o   Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Facilities

 

·         Physical

o   Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.

 

·         General

o   Continually reviews cleaning, laundry and other maintenance related activities to assure effectiveness of same and makes recommendations for modifications when deemed advantageous to efficient operation.

o   Must share responsibilities of beeper with other maintenance employees, for  emergency service calls, at night and weekends

o   This position also requires a valid driver's license.  Use of own vehicle at times is necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Custodial experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license
