We consider our relationships with school
systems to be an important factor in our
ability to provide the best possible services
to our students and their families. In 2002,
NECC conducted a survey to determine the
level of satisfaction with NECC exhibited
by school districts. A questionnaire was
mailed to 324 special education directors:
125 current NECC school districts; 70 former
school districts and 129 school districts
that have not utilized our services in Massachusetts.
The survey findings
included the following:
- 86% of current
school districts are satisfied with NECC.
- When asked what
they particularly like about NECC, school
districts rated responsiveness, program,
staff, and student outcomes as priorities.
- When asked to
compare NECC to other schools on factors
such as education quality, philosophy/methodology
and staff, 80% of completely satisfied
school districts rated NECC better or
the same as other schools.
- Of the topics
that were described by the school districts
as something they “particularly
like” about NECC, Staff is the element
which they are “overall most satisfied”
with.
