 Admissions > Satisfaction Survey

We consider our relationships with school systems to be an important factor in our ability to provide the best possible services to our students and their families. In 2002, NECC conducted a survey to determine the level of satisfaction with NECC exhibited by school districts. A questionnaire was mailed to 324 special education directors: 125 current NECC school districts; 70 former school districts and 129 school districts that have not utilized our services in Massachusetts.

The survey findings included the following:

  • 86% of current school districts are satisfied with NECC.

  • When asked what they particularly like about NECC, school districts rated responsiveness, program, staff, and student outcomes as priorities.

  • When asked to compare NECC to other schools on factors such as education quality, philosophy/methodology and staff, 80% of completely satisfied school districts rated NECC better or the same as other schools.

  • Of the topics that were described by the school districts as something they “particularly like” about NECC, Staff is the element which they are “overall most satisfied” with.
