William L. Holcomb, Ph.D., BCBA

William L. Holcomb is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who began working for The New England Center for Children (NECC®) in 1996. Prior to relocating to Abu Dhabi in August of 2008 to become the UAE Director of Consultation, Dr. Holcomb was the program director for the Intensive Instruction Program-Home-based Services at NECC. In addition, Dr. Holcomb had been visiting the UAE since 1997 to provide training and consultation for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Previous to working at NECC, Dr. Holcomb worked with individuals with a variety of diagnoses and their families across a variety of situations (e.g., as a member of an assessment team for individuals with developmental disabilities, coordinator of parent training, and as a clinician at a residential facility for individuals with mental retardation). Dr. Holcomb has also been on the faculty of the Northeastern University graduate program in Applied Behavior Analysis since 1983, and currently is a Clinical Assistant Professor, in the Bouve College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Department of Counseling Psychology, Rehabilitation, and Special Education at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. His research interests include the treatment of young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders; particularly investigations of the development of joint attention and social play skills.
