Katherine E. Foster, MEd

As Associate Chief Executive Officer & Founder ,
Ms. Foster works with the Executive
Director and serves as the Chief
Program Officer responsible for
all aspects of general program
administration: educational and
clinical program planning and
evaluation, development and monitoring
of programs.
Ms. Foster has a MEd in Special Education with Severe Special Needs certification from Northeastern University, and a BA in Psychology, History and Education, with Elementary Education (K-6) certification from Marietta College in Ohio.
Katherine Foster has been employed continuously at NECC since August of 1975. She began as one of the first 10 teachers and by 1980 had served as team coordinator, family services specialist, and finally executive director of our first program (ERI of Taunton). Kathy was essential to the development and successful implementation of the comprehensive and complicated plan that gave birth to The New England Center for Children in 1987-1988, and she became the Associate Executive Director of the new combined entity with responsibilities comparable to that of chief operating officer in the private sector. Kathy also serves on the Board of Directors of NECC as a member and clerk.
