Harry Hutson, an independent
management consultant with graduate
degrees from Harvard, Stanford
and Indiana University, serves
on the Board of Directors as
Vice Chairman. Drawing on his
professional expertise in human
resources at Global Knowledge
Network, Avery Dennison and
Cummins, Hutson heads the NECC
committee on executive compensation.
Hutson is also a graduate of
Hamilton College where he studied
Asian culture and volunteered
on the geriatric floor of a
New York state hospital.
Hutson says he was drawn to
the Center by its mission, which
he sees embodied by the people
who comprise the school—the
students, teachers, and staff.
He also reports that his two
grown children—Matthew
and Emily—have volunteered
at the school in the past. A
hectic pace allows Hutson little
time for leisure, but in his
spare time he enjoys backpacking,
photography, and reading. In
addition, Hutson keeps up with
his musical interests, from
classical to country. Further,
a personal favorite is Bob Dylan
– “a musician who
never repeats himself and still
has something new to say!”
