Team NECC’s Hard Work Paid Off on Marathon Monday

Marathon Monday, April 21, was a little warm for most runners liking, but that did not stop Team NECC – all members completed the Boston Marathon®! One team member, Leon Litchfield, even qualified for next year’s marathon. Congratulations Team NECC!

Fourteen runners ran through Hopkinton, Framingham, Newton, Wellesley and Boston with NECC’s logo displayed on their singlets. Several volunteers also wearing our logo were stationed along the route holding up signs and cheering proudly. We appreciate Team NECC’s commitment to raise funds for our students’ education. The team raised over $150,000 for the Annual Fund and that number continues to grow!

Thank you to those who came out to support our team members! The cheering stations gave our runners the boost they needed to get through all 26.2 miles.

Team NECC earned their medals on Marathon Monday, not only by completing the marathon, but also because of their dedication to raising awareness of educating children with autism. Go Team NECC!
