2006 WPI Homecoming Golf Tournament

On Friday, October 6, 2006 NECC was invited to participate in the 5th Annual WPI Homecoming Golf Tournament organized and hosted by a WPI fraternity alumni group called the Pi Zeta Fund. The Pi Zeta Fund is a non-profit foundation dedicated to providing educational and charitable support through financial assistance and scholarships. David Shaffer, parent of a NECC student and a WPI alumnus, encouraged Pi Zeta to support NECC with part of the proceeds from this year's golf tournament, which was held at Pine Ridge Country Club in North Oxford, MA on October 6. About 35 golfers attended the scramble format tournament as well as the awards presentation and dinner that followed. Cathy Welch, NECC's Director of Admissions, attended and thanked the group for their support. The Pi Zeta Fund donated $1,000 towards NECC's Annual Fund.
