2006 New Britain Rock Cats Fundraiser

NECC Receives Donation from New Britain Rock Cats

John and Nancy Giannini, parents of NECC student Gabriel Giannini, sold tickets to their local AA-Affiliate baseball team, the New Britain Rock Cats, of New Britain, CT, and as a result raised close to $2,000 for The New England Center for Children. John and Nancy were presented with a ceremonial check at the Rock Cats game on August 11, 2006 and Gabriel was there to throw out the first pitch. New Britain's Mayor Tim Stewart was in attendance to show his support, as were many of the Giannini's family and friends. NECC staff attended to take pictures; hand out brochures before the game; and show support for the Gianninis.
