Coming Together for NECC
NECC organizes and participates in a number of events throughout the year which are a critical piece of raising funds and awareness. Our three signature events throughout the year: The Carlos Placido- Dunkin' Donuts Annual Golf Classic, The 5K Walk/Run for Autism and A Night of Music are designed to bring participants from all walks together in support of a common goal; NECC's mission to treat children and families with autism.
With the help of our dedicated parents, friends, and corporate sponsors these events go a long way toward raising awareness and the funds necessary to maintain the excellence found at NECC.
5K Walk/Run for Autism
More than 1,400 participants came together at the Neary School to make the 6th Annual 5K Walk/Run a success; raising over $180,000 for NECC's Annual Fund. While professionally timed on a certified course for the avid runner, the field is compiled mostly of teams, families and individuals gathered in support of NECC. Without their support and the support of our generous corporate sponsors, this beautiful day in Southborough would not be possible. Carlos Placido- Dunkin' Donuts Golf Classic
15 years ago, a staff person for NECC asked a neighbor who worked for Dunkin' Donuts to contribute gift certificates to NECC's first golf tournament. That's all she was looking for -- a donation for the golf auction. That brief encounter was the beginning of a long-term relationship and the foundation of the Carlos Placido - Dunkin' Donuts Golf Classic, which has helped raise more than $2 million dollars for NECC. A Night of Music
An idea from NECC parents Bill and Angela Masiello over ten years ago, A Night of Music is now a staple on NECC's calendar each Fall. With the help of people like WBZ Radio host Dan Rea, musician Linda Dagnello, and WPI's Orchestra, A Night of Music has grown to become a wonderful evening of auctions, dinner and dance benefiting NECC's Annual Fund.
